March Madness – Venturers & Rovers

March Madness will be from the Thursday of March Break till the Friday.. It’s theme is ‘Metal’ and we are looking at serving both dinner and breakfast. A flyer is in the making as well a site for those who are interested. Once one or the other is completed we will try our hardest to get EVERYONE knowledgeable of this One Night Social. As well, for a side note, March Madness is open to Venturers and Rovers…Unfortunately this means no Senior Scouts can attend, due to the Age difference between Scouts and Rovers. I’m sorry I’ve been lacking in the Information, but we are trying our hardest and with most of us working 4-5 shifts a week and juggling school we have not paid enough attention to advertising of this Social. More will be available within a week if our plan works out.

BAPS Mandir Temple – Rexdale – Tour Info

Here is information regarding the BAPS Mandir Temple in Rexdale. (Hwy 427 and Finch Avenue – near Wild Water Kingdom).

Members of your group may be interested in visiting the Temple as part of the program.

There is no cost for the tour, however there is be a $3.00 – $5.00 cost per person for the museum.

There are only 3 or 4 other temples in the world similar to this.  The marble stone masons volunteered to come to Canada to build the temple.  They worked 24-7 on a voluntary basis until it was complete.

Click -HERE- for the complete info package, and -HERE- for a downloadable booking form.

Programmer Builder – for the Section Scouter

There is a great new resource on the Scouts Canada website, http://www.scouts.ca/ , for section leaders called Program Builder. It helps Leaders create weekly programs for their section. It can be found by following the “For Scouters” link on the home page. To take advantage of this new resource you will require a username and password. The same username and password will allow you to access the Program Builder and the membership Management System or MMS for short. Please contact your Group Registrar for a userid & password.  Registrars (and leaders if you do not have a registrar or require help), please contact our Area Registrar Alisa Kuemmling at alisak@sentex.ca .  Hey folks, they’re trying.  Use the resources as we try to grow & improve Scouting!
