Queen’s Venturer Awards presented

On Saturday October 25th, 2008, 5 Venturers from Wellington Area were in Toronto for the 22nd Annual Provincial Queen’s Venturer Award Recognition Ceremony.  The ceremony was hosted by The Honourable David C. Onley, The Lieutenant Governor of Ontario.

This is award is the highest level of achievement for a youth in Scouting.  It also marks the 1st time that a youth from the 17th Guelph Scouting Group and its Sponsor, Trinity United Church has received the award.

Receiving the awards were: Kristie Forshaw of the 6th Guelph, and Callum Rochford, Max Hewson, Cameron Marley, and Adam Ujhelyi of the 17th.

Congratulations to the Youth, we’re proud of you!
