Friends of the Guelph Public Library – Nov 22nd
The 27th Guelph troop is helping with sorting and setup but are not available on the 22nd. Marj Bethune sent the following:
On Saturday, the day of the sale, we have two shifts. The morning runs from 8:45 – 1:15 and the afternoon, 1:00 – 5:30. The tasks are these: 1) Working at one of the cash tables: One person tallies up the purchases, one person takes the cash, and we usually have a student bagging up the purchases. 2) Working at a sales book or media table to keep the tables relatively tidy, adding items from boxes that couldn’t be put out at the beginning, helping people. 3) As a float, relieving people for a break. Please let me know your interest and which shift you would prefer. We try to accomodate people as much as we can.
We also need help for setting up on Friday evening. While we still need to confirm exact times with the Old Quebec Street administrator, most of the set-up will probably be at 7:30. Last year this took about 1 – 1l2 hrs. We also need a few students/men to help set up the tables a half hour earlier. If you are also able to help with this, please let me know.
Contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested in helping out.
